What this site is
Productive Degenerate covers the ways people actually make money online: ecommerce, website flipping, reselling, affiliate marketing, investing and crypto, and side hustles. Most of the internet sells the upside. We show the whole ledger: what it costs to start, how long until the first dollar, what a realistic month looks like, how many hours it eats, and what can go wrong.
Who runs it
The site is run by Brian, a reseller and website flipper who documents his own experiments with real numbers, including the ones that lost money. The flip log and case studies come from projects run with our own money.
How we work
- Same numbers for every method. Startup cost, time to first dollar, monthly range, hours per week and risk, so you can compare side by side.
- Every number is dated. Fees and offers change, so we show when we last checked.
- Losses get published too. A method that didn't pay is as useful to you as one that did.
